Dad, Lea and two boys.....
On Monday my Dad, stepmother and two brothers came to stay for two nights. It was really great fun, and a fantastic christmas present. I feel like everything has come full circle for me, and I couldn't be happier having them back in our life. What was missing has now be found so to speak. We went shopping in Torquay, played beach cricket, had a BBQ, ordered pizza, got drunk (Dad actually drank beer!), took photos, talked, laughed and generally had a fantastic time.

Graduation........
Tonight was Tatums graduation from primary school! OMG I feel old. Apart from that though I was very proud and shed a few tears. They all had dinner at La Porchetta, and then the ceremony was held at Cinema 2 of Reading Theatre. Every student got up and made a speech, and whilst they did their school photos came up behind them on the big screen. They were then presented with a certificate with their photo on it, and a photo of all the grade sixes. A photo was taken with each child, their certificate and the principle, which we will get later in the week. It was really well done. My grandmother Joan came with me as Tom was working late. Guess what??? I got the first "mum dont come near me you are embarassing me look'. Bound to happen sooner or later!

Excited.......
Today Tom, Tatum and I went shopping, which is soooooo NOT Toms forte in life. It straight out puts him in a bad mood, although he denies it. Got a few clothes for Tatum as she has orientation day for highschool this coming week, so she has to make an impression! We also got two pairs of new shoes for her, as she has basically worn thongs outside of school for two years! She was in that in-between size but all of a sudden fits into a womens size 7...how did that happen?? We had lunch and then came home and had a bit of a photoshoot. My little girl is growing up!
Then I got a booking for a family shoot tomorrow afternoon. How exciting, nerve wracking but exciting. So will share some of those when they are shot and edited. All my xmas shopping is now COMPLETELY done. So now all we have to do is get a tree and putup some lights, as we will be in the festive season! I so love christmas.
I also got tickets for Tom and I for Pink next year. Tom loves her! I got standing room this time, so we are going to be like teenagers and try for near the front. Bring on August.
Looking forward to next week, meeting up with Mark and Kylie for a drink, laugh and a dance. I love them. Kylie, Tom and I have the same sense of humour, and Mark just shakes his head at us!
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

One seriously neglected blog....
Well it has been way too long since I updated this blog. I dont even rememeber the last time I posted. I deleted all my posts the last couple of years and am starting fresh.
Whats been happening? Well I have gotten in contact with my father, stepmother, and three brothers again, and its been fantastic! It was seven years since we had all spoken, which was way too long. Tom had never even met his inlaws or brothers in law! We think its funny that his brothers in law are 18, 16 and 11 years old! From the moment Tatum met Layne we never saw them for the rest of the time we were there. They rode the horse all weekend, which is great. I am so glad that they get along so well, and that tatum is getting to know the rest of her family.
I also started a new job at the end of August, working for Telstra. It is the MOST BORING job ever, but its a job. Though it is supposed to be casual I get at least 25hours a week, and am over it. I have hardly had time to even look at my camera, little own use it! My ad for my photography comes out in the Yellow Pages in April, so there is still lots to do to get things ready for that. So hopefully I can quit work and concentrate fully on that when the time is right.
My friend Belinda and I took Tatum and Dakota to see Shannon Noll in concert. We met him afterwards too. We got front row of course, and the girls were very patient waiting for 7 hours in line out the front to secure their awesome positions. Tatum loved it, she was touching him and yelling out. A little groupie in the making!
Tatum has her orientation day for high school in a week and a half, so she is very excited. I picked up her uniforms this week and cried when she tried them on at home! I cant believe my baby is nearly in high school. Where did the time go? I remember my grandmother saying when Tatum was a baby that it wouldn't be long before she was in Prep! It was five years till then and it seemed like it was forever away. Now we are starting the high school years. That conversation seems like yesterday.
I have been doing a bit of scrapping, so I will have to take some photos and upload them. I have finished all my christmas shopping except one thing, so its the first year I have been organised, which feels good.
Anyway, better get going, I have to go to work for four hours! On a Sunday, which sucks!
Take Care
